Designed For Professional Quality
Quality coffee grinds aren’t easy to produce, and Timemore knew the task they were taking on with the Chestnut G1 hand grinder. This explains the high quality materials and design choices they put together in this attractive package. Aluminum alloy makes up the body and interior of the grinds catch while robust austenitic steel was chosen for the crank arm and drive shaft. Dual bearings keep the grinding mechanism stable, ensuring consistent grinds by reducing burr wobble. The burrs are aggressive in their design, making quick work of grinding at any grind setting and reducing the amount of work you need to put in for your morning, afternoon, or evening cup of joe. All together this grinder churns out grinds suitable for discerning coffee lovers while still being approachable and easy to use for even novice brewers.
Built With You In Mind
Grind quality is hugely important, but user experience and attractive looks definitely don’t hurt when it comes to the G1. The rounded square design of the body makes for a comfortable gripping experience, which goes right along with the black walnut pommel you’ll find at the end of the ergonomic crank arm. The dual bearings inside of the grinder provide a smooth grinding experience, making this overall a pleasurable piece of equipment to use. There’s certainly something of a classic styling you can appreciate as well, pairing the dark aluminum body with the dark wood accents of the pommel and exterior of the grinds catch, making this a grinder that most anyone would be happy to keep next to the rest of their brewing set up at home or in the office. As hand grinders go, the G1 certainly sits right at the intersection of quality results and satisfying experience; hard to argue with no matter which of its peers you compare it to.
