Education has always been at the heart of what we do. Whether through our SCA-certified Brew Lab or everyday conversations in our coffeehouses, we love sharing our passion for coffee with our neighbors.
Coffee Brew Methods
This is a demonstration class on how to make a great cup of coffee at home, office, or your favorite campsite.
We will talk about the FIVE important elements of coffee brewing and demonstrate proper brewing techniques of five different methods while tasting five different coffees.
This is a fun and engaging, group-oriented , highly caffeinated experience, so bring your friends or come make friends while enjoying coffee!
Tasting Experience
In this class, we will travel back in time to discover the origins of coffee and how it has progressed into the specialty beverage we all love today hone your tasting skills with sensory exercises used by the best professional coffee tasters travel around the world to understand the different flavors from 7 countries of origin. You will go home having a deeper appreciation for coffee, and a much better understanding of why you love the specific types of coffee you drink.
Home Barista Workshop
This is a hands-on small class instructing the basics of how to get the most out of your home-espresso set up. We will cover the basics of pulling espresso shots, properly steaming milk, and grinder adjustment.
It is the perfect class for anyone looking to further their home barista skill set! An SCA certified instructor from White Rock Coffee will be instructing the class.
Latte Art Workshop
Want to learn how to pour latte art?
The creamy sweetness of well steamed milk in combination with a well brewed, rich espresso is one of the best pairs in the world.
This is a hands-on small class instructing the basics of how to steam milk to the high standards of professional baristas. Then, we will break down the process of pouring the art so it’s simple, fun, and repeatable. By the end of the class, you will have learned how to pour the basics: a heart, a tulip, and a rosetta.
